The Academy of New Orleans Trial Lawyers is dedicated to introducing local lawyers to local judges in a more relaxed environment than the courtroom or judge's chambers. Each month we select a local restaurant and a local judge who engages our members in an informal discourse on a pertinent legal topic.
Education
Informal, but serious, each of our meetings discuss important topics we regularly face in our respective practices, and each meeting is eligible for Continuing Legal Education credit, approved by the Louisiana State Bar Association.
Networking
Legal research is no replacement for experience, and there is no better way to learn lessons the easy way than by joining us for a legal discussion over a nice dinner. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or young lawyer, come meet others like you.
Standing
This may surprise you, but judges actually want to get to know the lawyers practicing before them, and despite what anyone may say, it matters that a judge knows who you are. Given the opportunity, you should want to know them as well.
